Makin’ Moves
So, the Bots 4 Tots train is a-movin’. We’ve got the site up, though in BETA (that’s like a public test, for the Luddites among you), and taking donations as well as sign-ups for our first session.
Word has it that Alexis will be writing some copy to explain the system a little better. Basically, you can donate to the program, or sign a child up for the sessions – they are not related directly. I’m sure she’ll say it better than I can.
While I’m writing to you here, I’d like to post a pic of my man Optimus Prime the first robot I ever owned:
Why is this relevant? Well, because Optimus got me interested in robotics, and robotics got me interested in getting other people interested in robotics and boom, here we are: Bots 4 Tots.
Sure, this is just a toy – but the toy spurred my imagination whis has been inspired ever since to make real life robots.
Maybe one day I’ll make a real Optimus Prime. Better yet, maybe one day your kid will.
